Kathleen McHugh received her formal art training at the Cornish Institute of the Arts in Seattle, Wa. She is an active visual artist who has a special interest in providing artistic experiences for children and youth. In 2005, as a faculty member of a Consortium agency, she completed the year long program Seattle Arts Education Consortium Professional Development for Teaching Artists. She currently serves on the academic advisory board of the International Child Art Foundation in Washington, D.C.
She is dedicated to providing quality arts experiences to inspire, empower and educate people of all ages and levels of experience. Creative engagement provides a way for people to discover themselves, their interests and the paths they can take to achieve their artistic, academic, intellectual, and personal goals.
